About me
Giovanni Pannico. Homo Sapiens based in History.
I was born in 1980 in Naples and emigrated to Berlin in 2010. As a member of my species, I manifest a desire to understand and influence the world around me. As a member of my species, I also manifest a desire to express myself, in my case through filmmaking. My studies in political science shaped my relationship to images as a critical one. Further study and practice in and around image-making brought me to where I am today.
I work as a freelance filmmaker, cameraman and editor for different video formats and produce documentaries and fiction. I have a penchant for the metaphorical and the surreal, I want to inspire questions and doubts, and I believe in cinema’s ability to regenerate the imagination.
