Aria diversa. Different air is a project in progress started in 2019, a collaboration between Guive Patenzo and Nicole Angrisano. The idea stems from the desire to narrate a different city, invisible and in movement like air.
We want to create a map of a city, putting together fragments of migratory narratives that show alternatives to the warlike vision of the territory, the distorted conception of Italian-ness, the discriminating perception of diversity and the hierarchical representation of humanity.
We want to give space to the pieces of this city that we do not yet see, but that exists and is formed by the fragments of the infinite unexpected potentialities that not only resist toxic narratives, but build places inspired by curiosity, solidarity, the common good, the defence of collective memory, respect for and protection of the environment and territories. Guiding us in this adventure is the wind, whose presence makes visible the different air that blows in this city.
This project relies on our strength alone, but seeks the support of all forms to progress and enrich itself.
